Guthrie High School Drum Major Jet Robbins made it official Monday morning by signing his letter of intent with the Oklahoma City University School of Music.
Jet, the son of Zach and Erin Robbins, was joined in the school library by OCU’s Genevieve Clarkson who is the associate professor of tuba and euphonium.
“This is a great opportunity for one of our Guthrie band members to sign and go to Oklahoma City University,” Rob Blackburn said during the ceremony.
Jet was one of three Bluejays to make the NCDA All-Region and OKMEA All-State Honor Bands this year.
He will continue to play the euphonium at OCU.
