It appears Guthrie will avoid water supply issues this summer despite record-breaking heat and many Oklahoma towns issuing water restrictions.
“We are still looking good with water production and supply,” Guthrie City Manager Matt Mueller said.
Mueller said the City is pulling 75% of water from the Cottonwood Creek and 25% from Liberty Lake.
“We are very fortunate as we are one of the few water systems in the state not looking at any restrictions or conservation measures at this time,” Mueller said.
Officials continue to monitor the situation in case supply demands change.
