Wedding couple celebrating Pray for Rain campaign

For 13 years wedding couples have looked into the sky on their wedding day and have tried to decide if they want no rain or just enough rain on their special day. Some couples want to be able to have the most romantic kiss in the rain and some don’t want one single raindrop present on their special day. For Mark and Heather Bruning they got both of those wishes and in return BC Clark will be refunding the Bruning’s on their engagement ring.

Mark BruningMark had proposed to Heather with a ring similar to this 2 carat cushion cut diamond ring earlier on in the year and the couple had been planning their special day ever since. Every wedding takes a lot of planning and preparation, from the venue to clothing to food and then flowers, but one thing that can’t be planned for is the weather unless you’re having an indoor wedding of course. Mark and Heather were married on Sept. 28, alongside their four-legged pooch Gage, with absolutely perfect weather conditions for their outdoor wedding, but 46 minutes to the south Will Rogers World Airport was in the midst of collecting 1.49 inches of rain according to the jewelry shop’s Pray For Rain Guage.

That amount of rain was plenty for five wedding couples to take advantage of the BC Clark Pray for Rain campaign.

When you buy an engagement ring from BC Clark Jewelers and it rains (or snows) an inch or more on your wedding day, BC Clark will refund you the price of your engagement ring up to $5,000.

“It could not have been better weather,” Mark Bruning said of his wedding ceremony.
