Woman backed over, killed; police investigating

The Guthrie Police Department continues to investigate a vehicle pedestrian accident that tragically claimed a life early Saturday morning.

Car - PedestrianPolice responded to the 1800 block of East Springer after a woman was backed over by a vehicle and killed just before 3 a.m.

Sheila Renee Zoltowski, 48, of Guthrie was pronounced dead due to massive injuries.

Guthrie News Page has learned a juvenile may have been behind the wheel of a 1997 Dodge Truck that struck Zoltowski and is being investigated as a possible accident.

An official police report has not been finalized as they await more details and toxicology tests.

Zoltowski, a 1983 Guthrie graduate, taught 5th grade in Oklahoma City Schools for 18 years.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m, Wednesday, June 12 at the First Southern Baptist Church, 202 East Noble, with Pastor David Nolan officiating. Sadly this pedestrian accident ended in tragically with the fatality of a pedestrian.
