Wrecker truck clipped by train

It was a close call for a tow truck driver on Wednesday evening after his wrecker truck was struck by a train.

A rollback truck with Dean’s became stuck in the mud at the railroad tracks north of Guthrie near Beemer Road.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol and Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene after 7 p.m.

In an attempt to free the truck, the man attempted to use the bed of the wrecker to dig himself out. However, an oncoming train clipped the front end of the vehicle.

There were no injuries reported at the scene.
