10th Annual Spirit of Oklahoma Storytelling Festival coming to Guthrie

The Territory Tellers is proud to announce the 10th Annual Spirit of Oklahoma Storytelling Festival June 10 and 11 in Guthrie.

The festival will feature events for all ages, and includes a Children’s Hour, a Ghost Walk, a Biggest Whopper Contest, a Story Slam, a silent auction, two workshops by Master Storyteller and Educator Barbara McBride Smith, an ice cream social, tours, and various workshops, music, concerts, and story circles. The events will be held throughout downtown Guthrie, with the majority of activities taking place at Guthrie Junior High, 705 E. Oklahoma Avenue. Pre-registration begins at 4 p.m. at La Quinta Inn in Guthrie, while regular registration begins at 9 a.m. on Friday and Saturday at Guthrie Junior High.

Cynthia Calloway, President of the Territory Tellers, states “Ten years! We are so excited to celebrate this occasion. Guthrie is excited to have us, and Barbara McBride-Smith—and other members—are ready to give you the best Spirit of Oklahoma Festival ever!”
