A Guthrie woman has been charged with child endangerment after her two and half month old baby tested positive for two controlled dangerous substances.

Robyn Pearson, 31, is facing a felony charge of child endangerment after her male baby tested positive for amphetamine and methamphetamine.
Case workers with Department of Human Services became concerned during an initial placement planning after they observed the baby to be in physical distress. The child was immediately taken to Mercy Hospital.
After a physical and blood examination, the results proved to be positive for the dangerous substances in the baby. In addition, the child was below normal size, weight and development.
In court papers, Pearson says she had breastfed the child since birth.
Following a hair follicle test, Pearson also tested positive for amphetamine and methamphetamine on July 1.
Pearson appeared in front of a judge on Wednesday with bond set at $25,000.
A child endangerment penalty can carry up to four years imprisonment, a maximum $5,000 fine or both a fine and imprisonment. Pearson is expected back in the Logan County courtroom on July 24.
