3.5 earthquake shakes Guthrie

Logan County was shaking again on Saturday afternoon.

A 3.5 magnitude earthquake struck at approximately at 2:26 p.m. Its epicenter was located north of Charter Oak Rd and east of Douglas Blvd, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

It was 5.6 miles deep.

On New Year’s Day, Guthrie was rattled from 2.9 and 3.1 earthquakes.

No damages or injuries have been reported. Damage and injury are far more likely with quakes that register 4.0 and higher, the USGS reports.
