“A Thousand Little Cuts” filming in Guthrie

Spitfire Films, Filmstreet Productions and RcR Cinema, in association with the Oklahoma Film + Music Office (OF+MO), are pleased to announce the filming of “A Thousand Little Cuts”. The film began principal photography in Guthrie on November 20 and will wrap before the end of the year.

“A Thousand Little Cuts” stars actress Marina Sirtis, best known for her role as Counselor Deanna Troi on the television series “Star Trek: The Next Generation” and the upcoming CBS All Access series “Star Trek: Picard”. Sirtis will play a psychiatrist who tries to help a young woman (Rebecca Liddiard: “Houdini & Doyle”, “Alias Grace”) piece together the details of a violent attack, unaware of the pivotal events that led up to the deadly affair.

Also joining the cast in this edgy drama are Andrew Creer (“Lethal Weapon”, Netflix’s “You”), Colin Ferguson (“Eureka”, “The Vampire Diaries”), and Oklahoma native Randy Wayne (“The Dukes of Hazzard”, “True Blood”).

“A Thousand Little Cuts” is produced by Peter Foldy and Ronnie Wiskup. Executive Producer is Oklahoma native Duke Fleischer. Joining the production is the Emmy award-winning Director of Photography Timothy Riese. The film is written and directed by Australian-born TV scribe Joshua Brandon (“Haven”).

“It’s an honor to have secured such an incredibly talented cast and crew for this project,” said Brandon. “I’m also very excited to be making my first feature in such a welcoming town as Guthrie, Oklahoma.”

“Guthrie is one of our most popular filming destinations,” said OF+MO Director Tava Maloy Sofsky. “We are so proud and so thankful that the Guthrie community consistently embraces production teams and helps them feel at home.”
