Reed Roberts was strong at the plate and on the hill in carrying Bluejays to a 6-0 victory over Oklahoma Christian School on Friday.
It was a good day at the plate for Roberts as well as he went 1-3, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the first inning for his third on the year.
Roberts (2-0) handled Oklahoma Christian School’s lineup with ease, racking up nine strikeouts. Bluejays’ pitcher gave up just two hits over five shutout innings.
Guthrie (3-1) blew out Oklahoma Christian School thanks to nine hits, including two extra base hits. Bluejays scored two runs in the sixth on a solo home run by Jeremy Wallis and a groundout by Grant Towler.
Bluejays brought home two runs in the second inning, and matched that run total in the sixth. In the second, Bluejays scored on an RBI single by Donovan Jordan, bringing home Beau Davis.
