Attorneys sworn in for Logan County DA’s office

Two attorneys were sworn in as Assistant District Attorneys (ADA) for the Logan County office on Thursday morning by Associate District Judge Louis Duel.

Caleb Lueck will be a full-time ADA for the Logan County office, according to District Attorney Laura Austin Thomas.

“Caleb spent a year interning with the Payne County DA’s office his last year of law school where he maintained a top 15 percent ranking,” Austin Thomas said.

Upon graduation and successful passage of the Bar examination, Lueck took a position as an ADA for District 2, which included Custer County.

“When an opening occurred in my offices we extended an offer to Caleb to return which he accepted. We are really happy to have him “home” again.”

Mitchell Thrower has joined the Logan County office as a part-time ADA. He recently graduated from Baylor Law School, passed the Oklahoma Bar exam and wanted to gain experience as a prosecutor.

“It’s been a pleasure to have Mitchell on board,” Austin Thomas said.

“Both these young attorneys are very bright, respectful and professional. Both are dedicated to public service under my administration and to the communities I serve. I’m grateful to have found attorneys of this caliber and with a sincere willingness to serve.”
