ATV accident sends man to hospital by helicopter

A Logan County man was air lifted to a Oklahoma City hospital on Sunday evening following an ATV accident.

Guthrie EMS, Logan County Sheriff’s Office and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol responded to Arrowhead Drive (north of Old Elm Court) in southern Logan County just after 7 p.m.

According to an OHP trooper’s report, Robert Perkins, 60, was transported by Air-Evac to OU Medical Center. He was admitted in critical condition with head and external injuries.

The report shows the man was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash of the Polaris ATV.

The condition of the driver and the cause of collision remain under investigation with no added details.
