Barker to retire after 31 years of service with the City; reception to be held

After over 30 years of dedicated service to the City of Guthrie, Bennie Barker is set for retirement. Now, the City will hold a celebration to recognize his years of service.

Barker has served as Fleet Services Superintendent for the last 31 years. In addition, he served intermittently as the interim Public Works Director.

The celebration is set for February 23 from noon – 2 p.m. at the Guthrie Public Works Building located at 407 Commerce.

The public is invited for light refreshments, finger foods and a chance to congratulate Bennie.
