Bill Pickle retires from OSBI after 39 years

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigations (OSBI) recognized Guthrie’s Bill Pickle with his retirement from the state agency.

“You have worn different hats but always had the same dedication to whatever task you were working on. You always gave 110% percent and you will be greatly missed,” an OSBI spokesperson said on the July 26 celebration.

Pickle started out as a part-time dispatcher in 1980 before going full-time in 1981. His most recent duties include operations at the off-site facility, vehicle maintenance and operating the Mobile Analysis Center.

In 2017, Pickle was awarded by the agency with the Legion of Merit. Related article: Bill Pickle awarded Legion of Merit by OSBI

“For decades, you have put your responsibilities at the OSBI above all others – including your family. You volunteer whenever a need arises and look for ways to improve the agency,” the spokesperson said.
