When you go inside Braums and find the floors swept and the table tops cleaned it is likely the dedicated work of Nick.

Not only does Nick have an attention to detail, but he is a fan of the Guthrie Police Department. You can count on Nick asking City Manager Sereniah Breland about the status of his police officer application when she comes into the store.

For a day, Nick’s dream job came true.

Last Wednesday, Nick celebrated a birthday and got a surprise from his store manager and Officer Jason Hamilton.

For a day, Nick was a guest member of the Guthrie police force.

“At work, Nick will issue ‘citations’ to the other employees if he’s not satisfied with their behavior,” Braums manager Dusty Pool said laughing.

Pool organized the birthday surprise by having Officer Hamilton pick up Nick for a ride along. For a day, Nick was patrolling the streets of Guthrie with a smile and watchful eye.

“It was a highlight of my job to see Nick light up,” Breland said.

Pool said, “He is a special part of our team, and we are grateful for his work ethic and continuous smile. It was an evening that Nick will cherish forever.”

Afterwards, Pool treated Nick to Gage’s Steak House for his birthday dinner.

There were no “citations” issued inside Gage’s despite the close eye of Nick Fisher.
