BlueJay Baseball rewarded with home regional

Another 20 plus win season will pay off for the Guthrie baseball program as they were rewarded the fourth and final home regional to play be play in early May.

The Jays will be represented as the number four overall seed on the West. Deer Creek will be the top overall seed followed by Carl Albert, and Chickasha. The top seeds and regional hosts from the East are Bishop Kelley, Pryor, Shawnee, and Durant. 

Joining the BlueJays (20-9) will be Bishop McGuinness (16-15), Skiatook (9-15), and Tulsa East Central. The only head-to-head match up among these teams are the Jays and Irish, who played back on April 1st in the Choctaw Tournament. The Irish handed the Jays an 8-2 set back. Read game story.

Regional action, which is a double elimination format, will either start on Tuesday, May 3rd, or Wednesday, May 4th at Squires Field and weather permitting will take three days to complete. Admission will be $5.00 for adults and students.

East Regional 2
Pryor, Grove, Booker T. Washington, Tahlequah

East Regional 3
Shawnee, Coweta, Tulsa Edison, Tulsa Rogers

East Regional 4
Durant, McAlester, Tulsa Hale, Ardmore
