The Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) will hold a special meeting on Friday morning to discuss a county-wide burn ban.

The meeting is set for 9 a.m. inside the Conference Room of the Courthouse Annex Building.
Fire chiefs in Logan County are encouraging commissioners to approve the county-wide burn ban.
If approved, the ban would be enacted for 30 days beginning on Feb. 10 and ending March 6. State law allows a max of 30 days. If a ban is needed beyond 30 days, BOCC would need a majority vote to continue the ban.
Gov. Mary Faillin could also enact a Governor Burn Ban, which supersedes a county burn ban. State officials are beginning to have discussions on the matter.
As of Tuesday morning, nine counties are in county-wide burn bans.
