Body found in Lincoln County identifies as man with Guthrie connections

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s confirmed with Guthrie News Page on Friday afternoon that a man found burned in a fire pit has been identified as a man with Guthrie ties.

On Sunday afternoon, three children were looking for their cat when they found a body severely burned near a trailer in the Oak Glen RV Park in Chandler.

On Friday, officials identified the victim as 52-year-old Jeffrey Merle Piotrowski.

The cause and manner of death were not immediately released from the State’s Medical Examiner.

The fire pit was located near the RV where he lived alone.

Lincoln County Sheriff Charlie Dougherty told KFOR, “We know from about the knees down, we have two white legs of a male subject. The rest of it is too unrecognizable, he was burnt that bad.”

Officials say they’re uncertain if it was some sort of accident, or if there is more to the case.
