Boyster, Good named GPS employees of the month

Guthrie Public Schools recognized their Support and Certified Employees of the Month for January 2020.

Lisa Good, a fourth and fifth grade teacher at Charter Oak Elementary School, was nominated and selected as the Certified Employee of the Month, while Valerie Boyster, a secretary at Central Elementary, was named the Support Staff Employee of the Month.

Boyster (pictured in the center above) was nominated by Lesley Cotton and Mandi Paul, who says she’s a hard worker.

“With her new position, she is a go-getter and is always very professional and respectful to others,” the nominees said.

“When entering the office she will greet you with a smile and is always welcoming. She is truly an asset to our school and community.”

Kathryn Rosenbach says Good continues to go above and beyond her professional duties, including recently for a fellow school teacher.

“Lisa helped a teacher on maternity leave by assessing every student individually in her class for the past report card period,” Rosenbach explained.

“She has positively contributed to our school since we opened in August 2018. She is an irreplacable teammate and a great source of support for our staff,” Rosenbach concluded with.

The Guthrie Lions Club presented a plaque to the recipients and Sonic at I-35 and Highway 33 donated a $25 Sonic gift card.
