Due to the received rainfall, effective immediately, the countywide burn ban has been lifted in accordance with the resolution passed by the Board of County Commissioners.
Commissioners enacted a 14-day ban before extending the ban until the recent rainfall.
Fire officials remind citizens that burning within the city limits of Guthrie requires a burn permit from the fire department.
Guthrie officials encourage all people doing any burning operations outside of city limits to please notify the communications center at 405-282-3535 prior to burning.
