Less than a year on the job, the Guthrie Chamber of Commerce will be searching for a new CEO following a resignation.
The Chamber of Commerce announced Tuesday morning that Gregory “Heady” Coleman resigned as CEO/President effective June 1, 2016.
Tracy Zserdin will be handling the office duties until a suitable replacement can be found.
“I would like to thank Heady for his vision and leadership in creating the CHOOSE GUTHRIE campaign, Chamber Chair Doug Ogle said.
“Heady has been very instrumental in creating a positive atmosphere for the Chamber Investors along with the community of Guthrie.”
In a resignation letter, Coleman explained that he will be pursing an opportunity to work full-time in a roll with North Church Guthrie.
Coleman was named the Chamber’s CEO on July 7, 2015.
“We wish Heady well with his new opportunity with North Church and look forward to continuing the positive momentum he has created with his leadership at the Chamber,” Ogle said.
Coleman has agreed to stay on in a limited role during the transition time.
The Guthrie Chamber Board is currently taking resumes to fill the vacancy of Chamber CEO/President and interested candidates can email their resume to Doug Ogle at doug.ogle@guthrieps.net.
