Hello! April is chocked full of events! The Licorice Festival started today at Aunt Gertrude’s House located at 112 E. Oklahoma until Sunday the 12th.

Guthrie Art Walk is now in its 18th year celebrating Oklahoma artists and their works with a relaxed evening of Fine Art, Fine Food and Fabulous American Craft. You can chat with the guest artists in each venue and see their newest pieces. They will tell you about their work and in many cases demonstrate while you watch so you can enjoy the creative process. In addition, each business will familiarize you with their specialties and products. The Art Walk is this Saturday, April 11th from 4pm to 8pm.

Touch the Trucks will be at the Guthrie High School, Sunday, April 12 from 1 to 3 p.m. Free Admission for the whole family!

If you have new or gently used books for children of all ages the Logan Community Services is doing a book drive. All books will be given back to children and families in this community! Book Drop Locations: Logan Community Services, AC’s Hallmark, Spoonful Pharmacy, Rick’s Fine Chocolates & Coffees, Boomerang Diner and YMCA.

The 89er Celebration begins next Tuesday and runs all week through Sunday. For a schedule of events go to their website at www.89erdays.com.
