Hello! I hope you had a great Labor Day! The Logan County Free Fair opens Wednesday at 5pm and begins Thursday at 8am and runs through Saturday of this week! There is a Dog Show at 9am on Saturday with a free watermelon feed on the lawn east of show arena from 11am to 1pm.  Fair books are available at 215 Fairgrounds Road, Suite B. America’s favorite circus is coming to Guthrie! The Culpepper & Merriweather Circus will be here Friday, September 19 and Saturday the 20. They will be setting up behind Comet Cleaners in the 600 block of South Division.  Advance adult tickets are $10 children ages 2 – 12 are $6. Show day adult tickets are $13 children ages 2 -12 $7. Tickets will be on sale soon at the Chamber office, Sonic on South Division, Rick’s Fine Chocolates & Coffee and Legends Food and Sport.

I was contacted by CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) from Stillwater to see if we had anyone interested in volunteering here in Logan County.  CASA Volunteers are everyday heroes who advocate for abused and neglected children in court. CASA volunteer training is free! Why? A child needs your voice! When? 9:30 – 3:30 October 1st and 2 Where? The First Capital Trolley is no longer allowed to run tours, only routes. The Trolley routes have changed and will run at noon and two Monday through Saturday leaving from the State Capital Publishing Museum on the corner of Second and Harrison. Prices are now $5 for Adults, Children 2-12 are $1 kids under 2 are free.

Crossroads Clinic is hosting a 5K Mile – Walk for Life, Saturday, September 27th at Mineral Wells Park called Rescue Me! To register go to their website at walk4lifeguthrie.com or call 405-282-6322. Rescue Me from those who pursue me, for they are too strong for me. Psalms 142:6

We have a merchant meeting scheduled this Friday at the Blue Belle Saloon at 224 W. Harrison at 8am. All merchants are welcome to attend.

This week’s Wednesday’s Chamber Coffee will be hosted by the Blue Belle Saloon at 224 W. Harrison at 9:30am. Everyone is welcome to attend! Have a wonderful week!
