City council selects seven citizens to serve on new CVB board

The Guthrie City Council selected and approved seven citizens to serve on the Convention and Visitors Bureau advisory board during Tuesday evening’s city council meeting.

With a unanimous vote, Justin Fortney, James Long, Debbie Prather, Stacy Stanton, Trey Woods, Scott Haas and Damon Devereaux were selected to the new board.

Each term is set for three years.

In addition, two council members, who is expected to be appointed at the next scheduled meeting, may serve as ex officio

City staff, a non-voting member, will manage the board and applicable contracts to provide tourism services. Staff will have financial data available as the Convention and Visitor Bureau will be subject to all fiscal policies of the City
