wow look at the huge number of traffic tickets being given now
most are for 1-10 miles over the speed limit with a fine of $188.50
This does not seem reasonable is this the new way to fund our city and county? Visitors will not come back if they get tickets and employees can not get to work if they can not afford car insurance.
It appears citations were not inserted into OSCN on Monday so these traffic citations cover last Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday for Logan County.
Of the 48 citations, OHP issued 34 and the Sheriff’s Office issued 14.
The City of Guthrie does not fund from these citations.
The Sheriff’s Office and LCSO, I do believe, collect $5-$7per citation with the remainder going toward the court fees and etc.
