City of Guthrie announces debris removal schedule following ice storm

The City of Guthrie will be collecting branches, limbs and debris from the recent ice storm.

The debris removal schedule is as follows:

* December 7-11, 2015: Limbs and debris will be collected within the corporate limits of the City of Guthrie south of Industrial Road.

* December 14-18, 2015: Limbs and debris will be collected on the West side of town in the area north of Industrial Road and west of Division Street.

* December 21-26, 2015: Limbs and debris will be collected on the East side of town in the area north of Industrial Road and east of Division Street.

Residents are asked to cut limbs in four-foot lengths or less and place debris by the curb at least five feet from mailboxes, gas meters, cars, or shrubs and at least ten feet from utility poles.

There will be no charge for this collection of tree limbs and debris from the ice storm, but free ice storm debris pickup from each specific segment of the community will be held only during the week specified. However, there will be no charge for disposal of ice storm debris (specifically tree limbs and branches) at the Guthrie Convenience Center, 1506 N. Academy Rd., until Jan. 1 with a copy of a current City of Guthrie utility bill.
