City’s sales tax numbers continue to be higher than projected

The latest sales tax numbers for the City of Guthrie continue to show momentum.

The City’s April 2018 sales tax revenue revealed a 5.19 percentage hike compared to the same month last year, or $24,794.65.

The monthly total came in at $502,245.34.

For the fiscal year, sales tax revenue is 10.21 percent higher accumulatively than for the same seven month period of the last budget year or $357,861.29.

Of the total collected in the seven months, the General Fund (three percent) has collected $3,090,907.22 and the Capital Improvement Fund (three-quarters percent) at $772,726.81.

The City reports they are 7.26 percent ($261,551) higher than projected for the fiscal year.
