The Town of Coyle has issued a Voluntary Evacuation Order for a specific area due to a projected flood.
According to Coyle firefighters, the National Weather Service is predicting a record to near record flood along Main Street (see map).
“This will cause these areas of Coyle to be flooded,” one firefighter said.
The old gym at the school is being opened up for a shelter.
The Coyle Fire Department is going door-to-door and making notifications for those in the effected area.
