Darla Z sings of love for Peppers Ranch Foster Care this February

With the month of love just around the corner, there’s no secret it’s a time of year when romance is in the air. And what better present for your Valentine this February than the gift of your love coupled with the gift of music. On Saturday, February 20 acclaimed singer/songwriter Darla Z will be performing some of the world’s most beautiful love songs in a benefit concert for Peppers Ranch Foster Care Community.

“With her silky smooth delivery and commanding stage presence” as recognized by TravelOK, Darla Z’s concert will be held in the heart of downtown Oklahoma City’s hot Bricktown area at the Academy of Contemporary Music Performance Lab located at 329 E. Sheridan Avenue. Conducting the concert will be renowned pianist Paul Badia of Las Vegas, Nevada. The concert will begin at 7 p.m. Tickets to the show are $75 and includes a lovely array of delectable food offerings, table seating and beverages, all of which will collectively enhance what is sure to be a beautiful night of music.

Darla Z is no stranger to love songs as her public television music special, Darla Z’s Love Songs Round the World, was touted by Radar Online as a show with “Amazing vocals” and “a first class ticket to romance.” Darla Z is the star of three public television specials, two of which were filmed in Las Vegas where she also headlines. About Darla Z, John Avildsen, Academy Award winning director of Rocky, calls Darla Z’s voice “nectar for the ears.” In her over decade long history of performing for audiences throughout the nation, Darla Z began her career opening for Willie Nelson, was Wayne Newton’s only opening act, and has appeared on the same stage with the legendary artist Steve Lawrence — all before her nationally released and very popular television music specials.

Founded in 2009, Peppers Ranch was the first foster care community in Oklahoma. According to Peppers Ranch’s Executive Director Tonya Ratcliff, “The community provides life changing experiences and opportunities for the foster care children who call this 160 acre ranch near Guthrie, Oklahoma, their home.”

Peppers Ranch’s mission is to break the cycle of child abuse and neglect through loving homes, counseling, and growth-oriented activities.
