Election Results: Watch and discuss as the results come in

Update

Statement from Guthrie Superintendent Dr. Mike Simpson:

This bond election was won over the last four years by earning the trust of our community. As a district, we took very serious the responsibility of being good stewards with the resources the taxpayers afforded us. This is the largest bond issue ever approved by our district and comes with a very high percentage of approval. It is truly humbling to think how much work has gone into this effort. I want to publicly thank Katie Hudson and Seth Robbins who captained the “Yes” team. Also, the Leadership Guthrie Class of 2018-19 truly were the ‘boots on the ground’ as we canvassed neighborhoods sharing the “Yes” story.

Just as in 2015, we also don’t take the trust shown by the community lightly. We must continue to be mindful that we have an obligation to the community to continue showing the trust we earned was deserved. Tonight, we celebrate success and show gratitude to everyone that supported our children today. In the end our kids and community won again.
