Faver students visit MTC

Recently, students from Faver Alternative School had the opportunity to tour Meridian Technology Center. While visiting the center, students were given a brief overview of what Meridian has to offer and were encouraged to visit three trade areas of their choice.

Student representatives from each trade met with prospective students and offered information about “A Day in the Life” of a career tech student.

Course work, activities, extracurricular clubs and organizations and expectations were all discussed and questions were answered. The day ended with each student receiving an amazing chocolate chip cookie made in-house by the Meridian Culinary Arts students.

Faver Alternative students were sent home with application packets and were encouraged to submit early as space is limited. Interviews will begin mid to late February.

Students who have been accepted will be notified  in early to mid-May.
