FCC set to host Mission Guthrie – Project 7:16 in July

A unique event is set to begin on July 16 for the community of Guthrie as First Christian Church welcomes an estimated 150 youth and adults from across the state of Oklahoma and Texas.

Mission Guthrie – Project 7:16 kicks off on the Saturday with a community block party and wraps up on Wednesday, July 20. Participants will be completing service projects in Guthrie at community centers, schools and private homes.

The church will have worship every evening at the church that will be led by the Christian band, Stars Go Dim!

Activities for Mission Guthrie will include the Block Party on the corner of Wentz and Oklahoma, a night at the Beacon Drive-In, a Luau at Central Christian Camp and a Tacky Tourist Dance Party at Guthrie Upper Elementary School.

The event is open to all youth who have completed grades 6 – 12.

Registration and payment of $250.00 is due upon registration – mail or deliver payment to First Christian Church, 402 E Noble, Guthrie, OK 73044. The payment includes lodging at the La Quinta Inn, transportation during event, meals, activities and a Mission Guthrie t-shirt. Registrations after July 1 will not be guaranteed a shirt.
