Firefighters quickly extinguish house fire

The Guthrie Fire Department responded to a house fire Thursday afternoon just before 1:00 p.m. on First Street.

According to Guthrie Fire Chief Eric Harlow, the house, located at 301 N. 1st Street, was occupied with three children and their mother. All four escaped out of the house safely.

The cause of the fire is unknown at the time. The fire caused approximately $3000 worth of damage.
