Five people were arrested, and three potential human trafficking victims were recovered following a training and enforcement operation involving multiple Oklahoma law enforcement agencies, including the Guthrie Police Department and Logan County Sheriff’s Office.
Skull Games Solutions partnered with Oklahoma Attorney General Gentner Drummond’s Human Trafficking Response Unit (HTRU) for training that was followed by a real-world operation.
Law enforcement agencies participating included the Guthrie Police Department, Logan County Sheriff’s Office, Jones Police Department, and Payne County Sheriff’s Office.
According to Skull Games Solutions, participants identified 15 potential victims and two suspected traffickers during the intelligence portion of the training. Those individuals were identified for follow-up investigation, and three victims were ultimately recovered.
The training was followed by an operation in which the Guthrie Police Department served as the arresting agency. Five arrests were made.
Those booked into the Logan County Jail include 59-year-old Johnny Goforth of Stillwater, 23-year-old Kenneth Blevins of Edmond, 49-year-old Carlos Santiago of Guthrie, 35-year-old Victor Najera of Guthrie and 37-year-old Elwyn Patmon of Guthrie.
Jail records list each of the five as being held in connection with engaging in prostitution, lewdness or assignation.
Formal criminal charges had not been filed as of Friday morning. Charges could be filed as early as Tuesday.
Skull Games Solutions said the operation demonstrated the importance of putting specialized training into immediate practice.
“Training matters. But training that immediately turns into victim identification, recovery, investigations, and arrests is where the real impact begins,” the organization said.
Skull Games Solutions also thanked the participating agencies for investing in the training and partnerships necessary to combat human trafficking and exploitation.
The investigation remains ongoing, including follow-up involving the potential victims and suspected traffickers identified during the intelligence portion of the operation.
An arrest or jail booking is not a determination of guilt. Those arrested are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
