Four BlueJays claim postseason gridiron accolades

Four senior members of the Guthrie High School football team were recognized for their season efforts in a season that ended with a 10-2 record.

Quarterback Bryan Dutton and offensive lineman Evan Plagg were named two lists while defensive back J.T. McFadden and defensive lineman Vincent Norris landed on one each.

Plagg was named to The Oklahoman’s All-City second team while Dutton, McFadden and Norris were named honorable mention.

Despite a BlueJay not making the Coaches All-State team this season, Dutton and Plagg were named Class 5A All-Stars.

Plagg commanded the offensive line and is entertaining college offers is hoping to sign in February.

Dutton has college choices as well in both wrestling and baseball.

McFadden and Norris were key 3-year starters for the Jays and helped lead one of the state’s top defenses in the state in each year.
