The Guthrie High School Drama team recently finished runner-up in regional action and competed at last week’s State championship round. In addition, two students were recognized for their efforts.
The GHS Performance Drama group stands proud with their runner-up trophy.
The team captured second place at the Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association’s Regional One Act contest.
The regional was held last week at Yukon High School and was followed up by the State competition on Saturday.
Mason Harvey and Morgan Price were named to the Regional All-star cast. Price also brought home the Drama All-state award.
In total, 57 schools competed, including 19 teams in the Class 6A competition where Guthrie competes.
Guthrie performed “Boy Meets Girl: A Young Love Story.”
