GHS soccer teams share same records; split games with Guymon

The Guthrie High School soccer teams split their district, doubleheader with Guymon on Friday night.

The girl’s team held on for a 1-0 win while the Jays dropped their match 1-0.

With the loss, the Bluejays had their two game win streak snapped after picking up wins over Mt. St. Mary’s (4-3) and Oklahoma Christian School (3-0).

The Jays are now 1-2 the 5A-1 district standings and 4-6 overall.

For the Lady Jays, they also hold identical overall and district records as the boys.

They are winners of two straight with a win convincing win over Oklahoma Christian School (6-0).

Both teams can make huge strides in the coming weeks with four district games left on the schedule, including Heritage Hall on Tuesday, at Woodward, El Reno and at Del City.
