Guthrie Band takes Fan Favorite at Bixby Tournament

The Guthrie High School marching band competed in the Bixby Tournament of Bands in Bixby over the weekend and competed well.

In the preliminary round, Guthrie finished second in Class 5A.

In the finals competition, they were awarded Fan Favorite of the tournament and a third-place overall finish.

Sapulpa finished with a score of 84.45 and was followed by Oologah (76.40) and Guthrie (75.30).

Guthrie next competes on October 22 at the Oklahoma Bandmasters Association in Owasso.
