Guthrie Chamber celebrates school support staff across district

The Guthrie Chamber of Commerce continued its annual tradition of recognizing support staff members across Guthrie Public Schools during Support Staff Day last week.

Business owners, community leaders, and school administrators traveled together by school bus to each school site, along with the district’s transportation and maintenance departments, to personally thank employees for their work throughout the school year.

At each stop, volunteers unloaded donated snacks and greeted staff members with music, signs, and words of appreciation.

The event recognized the often behind-the-scenes employees who help schools operate daily, including cafeteria workers, custodians, office staff, transportation employees, and maintenance crews.

Organizers said the annual event is designed to show appreciation for the employees who play a major role in supporting students, teachers, and school operations throughout the district.
