Ronni Adams, Andrew Aitken, Makenzie Canary, Britton Drake, Mackenzie Knight, Kaley Matheson, Gage Smedley, Mollie Throckmorton, and Kynseth Zubrod, of the Guthrie FFA Chapter, have been nominated to receive the prestigious State FFA Degree, the highest degree of active membership awarded by the Oklahoma FFA Association.
The honor is bestowed upon high school senior FFA members who have demonstrated outstanding supervised agricultural experience programs and leadership skills. Only 891 of the more than 29,000 Oklahoma FFA members have advanced through the Discovery, Greenhand, and Chapter Degrees to earn the state honor.
Recipients will receive their degrees during the 99th State FFA Convention held at the Arvest Convention Center and BOK Arena in downtown Tulsa, May 6-7. The local agricultural education instructor(s) and FFA advisor(s) are Clay Drake, Savahanna Rennick, & Dusty Oldenburg.
The degree recognition is co-sponsored by AFR Cooperative, Primerica, Mike and Donna Robison, Lauren McDonald with Midwest Land Group, Oklahoma Farm Bureau, Koch Fertilizer, and Shawnee Milling Company.
More than 10,000 FFA members and guests are expected to attend the 99th State FFA Convention. Participants will experience leadership and personal development workshops as well as presentations by educational and motivational speakers, including Dave Roever and Gatlin Didier.
Other highlights include the selection of top FFA members in 47 proficiency award areas, recognition of top teams in the state career development events, naming the State Stars in Production, Agribusiness, Agriscience, and Placement, and election of the 2025-2026 state FFA officer team. An Agricultural Career Show and Agriscience Fair are also held in conjunction with the FFA convention.
