Guthrie Lions Club paints the arena

A dozen Guthrie Noon Lions Club members (and one guest) painted a special section of the Logan County Fairgrounds Arena last week.

Lion President Steve Gentling noted, “We had a great painting combination of perfect weather, an energized group of club members and special paint “gloves. With a little instruction we were even able to get MOST of the paint on the arena railing!”

Jerry Casey, arena coordinator, stated, “We are so thankful to the Guthrie Lions Club and other local civic and military organizations for providing much needed manpower to paint the arena railings over the past few months. It has made such a difference in the appearance of the arena and really sends a positive message to the rodeo participants and fans when they come to events here at the fairgrounds.”

The Guthrie Noon Lions Club meets every Friday at noon at Stacy’s Place, 113 W. Harrison.  Each week, in addition to a wonderful meal and meaningful fellowship, a special guest presentation is made, generally focusing on a program, process or activity that directly affects our community and our lives.

Membership is open to all who want to make a difference, to all who want “to serve”.   For more information concerning Lions and the Guthrie Noon Lions Club please contact Richard Ireton, Membership Chair, at 282-3086
