Guthrie Noon Lions Club honors Students of the Month, Abby Chadd (L) and Derek Luster (R).

Lions Club President, Lion John Wood announced the selection of two students, Abby Chadd and Derek Luster, from Guthrie High School as Students of the Month.

“We are so pleased to honor these students for their accomplishment in and out of the classroom. Not only are they the “face” of Guthrie High, they are also the “face” of our future and we are pleased to recognize and salute them today.”

Abby Chadd is the daughter of Ben and Annie Chadd.  She is a member of the student council, Future Farmers of America, and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.  Abby is also a member of the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls.  She attended the Rainbow Supreme Assembly this summer where she was on the Championship Opening and Closing teams which won first place at the assembly.  Abby plans on attending Southwestern State University at Weatherford and major in Early Childhood education.

Derek Luster, son of DL Luster and Carla Luster.  He is actively involved with rodeo and student council. Derek plans on attending Rose State College initially after graduation and then going to either Oklahoma State University or University of Central Oklahoma with a major in business.
