The Guthrie Noon Lions Club is one of the largest and most historic civic organizations in the state with a proud and rich history that dates back to November 10, 1919.

President Ireton noted, “The club is an outstanding partner with many civic organizations and programs. In the past twelve months the club has made significant donations to the Oklahoma Lions Boys Ranch in Perkins, Logan County United Way, the local YMCA scholarship program, the Oklahoma Christian Camp, the ‘89er Celebration and the American Legion’s Boy and Girl State leadership week”.

First Vice Gentling also reflected, “We are very proud of the tremendous support that the club provides for the “Student of the Month” program, college scholarship for Guthrie High School Seniors and of course our focus on our mission of service to those who are in need of eye care and eye glasses”!

Lion Huffman added, “The opportunity every Friday at noon to meet and network with other community members and leaders, learn about exciting programs in our community and region and be a part of an active club that makes a difference is a special gift – for you and for others. Be a part of the team!”

The Guthrie Noon Lions Club meets every Friday at noon at the Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall on Noble Ave. Each week, in addition to a wonderful meal and meaningful fellowship, a special guest presentation is made, generally focusing on a program, process or activity that directly affects our community and our lives. Membership is open to all who want to make a difference, to all who want “to serve”.
