The City of Guthrie got a boost with the latest sales tax numbers.
The city’s sales tax deposit for the month of October was $328,983 compared to last year’s $278,585.
According to City Manager Matt Mueller, the sales tax deposit this month was $328,983 compared to the $278,585 that was deposited this time last year.
The October number is also a 6.79% increase from the $308,052 deposited this time in 2008-2009 which was the last fiscal year before Guthrie started seeing the effects of the economy on the sales tax.
Mueller continued to say the deposit will definitely help the city stay within the budget projections, which will need to average $305,000 per month.
