Guthrie YMCA begins food drive campaign for food banks

The Guthrie YMCA kick started a food drive campaign labeled “Together We Can” to help benefit local food pantries.

“We will be donating the food to God’s Food Bank, Hands of Jesus and the food pantries at the high school and junior high,” Guthrie YMCA Center Director Kristen Hersom said.

“We are looking for snack food type items for the schools and your typical non-perishable’s like peanut butter, canned fruits and vegetables for the other food banks,” Hersom added.

The project ”Togetherhood” has drop off spots at City Hall, Rick’s Fine Chocolates and Coffees, Hoboken, Spoonful Pharmacy, Guthrie Library, Ace Hardware and at the YMCA.

The project runs throughout the month of October.
