Hailey Drake awarded $2,000 scholarship from National Livestock Companies

Hailey Drake a senior at Guthrie High School has been awarded a $2,000 scholarship from the National Livestock Companies consisting of the National Livestock Commission Association, National Livestock Credit Corporation, and Southern Oklahoma Livestock Auction. 

The award was presented to Hailey at the National Livestock Annual Meetings in Oklahoma City on March 31.

Twenty-Nine Undergraduate Agriculture scholarships and six Vet Med scholarships, totaling $90,000, were presented this year to deserving High School Seniors and/or current College students.  Hailey was one of six High School Seniors to receive this scholarship. Since the inception of the Scholarship Program in 2012, National Livestock Companies have awarded over $675k in Scholarship funds to deserving students.

To be eligible for the annual scholarships, students must be attending or planning to attend an accredited University pursuing a degree program in Agriculture or an Agriculture Related Program. Students must also be family member of a customer of the National Livestock Companies or be recommended by a customer of the National Livestock Companies. A minimum GPA of 2.75 must be maintained.
