By the start of the season, the Guthrie High School boys’ tennis team appears much improved.
At the Carl Albert tournament held at the Oklahoma City Tennis Center, Aaron Hartley and Caden Hopfer placed second in No. 1 doubles action. Kevin Blackston and Brandon LaMarche finished runner-up in No. 2 doubles.
“So proud of these boys at the Carl Albert tennis tournament,” head coach Mary Hudson said. The coach was equally as proud in the following event.
In Ada, the Jays placed third overall. Hopfer and Hartley took the championship in No. 1 doubles while Blackston and LaMarche just missed out by finishing second.
