Along with the Oak Cliff Fire Department, Woodcrest, Deer Creek and Edmond fire departments and the Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded to 10925 S Bryant Road, which is south of the intersection of Simpson and Bryant.

Lt. Darrin Martin with Oak Cliff tells Guthrie News Page once they arrived to the scene the home was fully involved at around 7:30 p.m.

A man, identified as Robert Marcus Hanna, 74, was taken out of a bedroom by firefighters, but died at the scene. The Medical Examiner arrived to the home just after 10 p.m.

The fire started in the kitchen when combustibles ignited near an unattended stove, which is believed to have been left on to warm the house.

Firefighters remained on the scene until 2:30 a.m. and were called back several minutes later for hot spots.
