The Guthrie City Council met briefly on Friday to announce an interim to the interim for the city manager position. The full-time interim city manager is expected to be made on Monday.
Council members Brian Bothroyd, Jeff Taylor, Sharyl Padgett and Ed Wood were present for the special meeting held in the City Hall’s conference room. Mayor Steven Gentling, Vice-Mayor John Wood and Z Thomas were absent.
Human Resources Director Jim Ahlgren was announced as the interim city manager until the end of Monday.
An announcement is expected on Monday to name the full-time interim manager, who is expected to begin work on Tuesday.
The position was opened when Sereniah Breland announced she accepted a similar position in Alvin, Texas.
