A season ago Jacob Chappell was leading the Guthrie Bluejays to a 31-9 season. One year later, he has been named to the Big XII All-Freshmen team for the Oklahoma State Cowboys.
Chappell, who started 44 of the 48 games in the regular season, has played well at both shortstop and third base for the Cowboys.
Offensively, Chappell put down 12 sacrifice bunts while batting .270 and bringing in 19 RBIs.
